Donation Information:

The Daniel Lee Dorward Compassionate Fund For Sick Kids is administered by its Board of Directors under the registered charity number of the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) in Winnipeg, and in accordance with the policies and procedures of HSC.

We are very proud that 100% of donated funds are used to help the families referred to us. Our administrative expenses are covered by fundraising efforts specifically for this purpose.

There are a number of ways that YOU might help support the work of the The Daniel Lee Dorward Fund.
  
1. Become a corporate sponsor
2. Make a cash donation
3. Planning a special event such as a birthday or anniversary celebaration? 
    Suggest making a donation to our charity in lieu of a gift
4. Planning a funeral or memorial? Suggest making a donation to our charity in 
    lieu of flowers.
5. Hold an event- yard sale, dinner, etc and send proceeds to our charity
6. Monthly giving plan available with automatic withdrawals from your bank 
    account or credit card.
7. Make a silent auction donation
8. Participate in our FUNDRAISING EVENTS
9. Become a VOLUNTEER

1.  Corporate sponsorships are available in the following categories:  Gold (over $20,000); Silver ($10,000-$20,000); Bronze ($1,000-$10,000); Dan’s Fans ($100-$1,000).  As a corporate sponsor, your name will be advertised on our website, with links to your website available.  Your company will receive a certificate or plaque to display in your office.  If you sponsor a particular event, you will be acknowledged by appropriate signage and a representative of your company will be invited to attend the event, along with a guest.  You will also receive a copy of our newsletter.  Other methods of acknowledgement can be discussed.

2.  Donations can be made by cash, cheque, money order, Visa or Mastercard. Cheques or money orders should be made payable to the Health Sciences Centre Account #T087. Please do not send cash through the mail. Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $10.00. If you don not require a tax receipt, please make your cheque payable to Dorward Compassionate Fund.

Contributions outside the province of Manitoba may be used to help families in the donor's home province if so designated. Referrals outside Manitoba must come from a social worker in the Children's Hospital and must be approved by the Director of Referrals in Winnipeg.
