Kids We've Helped:

The Daniel Lee Dorward Compassionate Fund was officially started June 19, 2003. Since that time, we have helped several families.  In addition to helping with some of the financial costs of treatment for their child, in some cases, we have been able to offer emotional support, mostly by just being available to listen or to share experiences.  The families have touched our hearts and all hold a special place in the history of our charity.

Following are some of the ways we have assisted families:

·        The Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation has provided significant financial support which has been used for out-of-town travel, nutritional products, medications, camp registrations, and parking passes.

 ·       Randall Plumbing & Heating Ltd. has made regular large contributions which have been used as needed at the time; this year's contribution was designated to cover the parking passes used by many families.

As our charity becomes more well known, the number of referrals is rapidly increasing.   We are constantly learning about new types of problems encountered by young families when their child is chronically ill, and the number of seriously ill children is astounding.  Most people expect to raise healthy children, but one never knows when it will be your child or the child of a friend or family member who is diagnosed with a serious chronic and/or life-threatening disease.  Please help us to ensure that funds are available to help these families by making your donation today.
